Company background
Hands-On Computers was formed in 1995 and has grown into a highly respected IT service and support company looking after small and medium sized business’s in the South East of England and specifically in and around the Croydon and Sutton areas.
Hands-On Computers works to ISO 9001 standards which means that you can be assured of a measurable and consistent level of service which when linked to our commitment to the investors in people program provides a level of assurance regarding our service that is not found in many other IT service providers of our size.
The company is made up of 10 people and is run by Martin Briggs who was one of the original founders of the company. Martin takes an active role in all parts of the company and while not directly involved in the engineering his 12 years of active field experience means that he is able to pull his weight in the event of additional man power being required. The daily activities of the engineers is organised and managed by the operations manager who himself has worked his way up having been a field engineer with the company for over 7 years.
Each of the engineers have a vast amount of practical real world field knowledge backed up with Microsoft qualifications which when coupled with the company’s philosophy of honest and jargon free customer communication gives the end user a comfortable feeling that they are being listened to and that their issue will be dealt with efficiently.
Our main target businesses are those that don’t have their own dedicated IT support staff however in many situations we act as the backup support for the in house IT person for situations when they are either too busy, unavailable or simply in need of another pair of hands/eyes.
With a base of over 80 companies committed to our support scheme ranging from the occasional one man band up to organisations with 10’s of millions in turnover, multiple locations and up to 100 active IT users we have a vast array of different business types all relying on our daily support services.
